I purchased this vacuum along with the Sanitaire 670 upright model. The upright has a belt which drives the roller brush, but this canister vacuum does NOT have a roller brush or a belt so I’m confused by a previous reviewers comments. The wide floor attachment is adjustable and glides nicely over my laminate floors. I wouldn’t dream of using it on the fringed area of any rugs because the suction is extremely powerful – even when you open the tab to lower the suction. It’s extremely lightweight, the attachments are well made, the wand extends a long way, the hose seems a bit flimsy, but that’s my only complaint. Bags are a breeze to change and reasonbly priced. Haven’t changed the filter yet, so I can’t coment on that point, but otherwise, as someone with 2 Saint Bernards who love furring up my car, I couldn’t be more pleased.
